Knut's cake and other Presents

I published the last post and realized I didn't add the cake and presents pictures. Knut got to help Daddy make his cake and Mommy frosted it. Grandma sent the pan and Knut got to pick out the cake mix and frostings to go on it.Knut also got to talk to some people on the phone and had a blast.

Knut's Birthday

I know this is late, by several days, but we celebrated Knut's birthday last week. He had a blast, Nolan took the day off of work and we went to the fair and then let Knut pick lunch and where they would get to play and all that fun stuff. I know the video is a little dim, but he's enthusiasm is fun to watch, he was very excited. There are a lot of pictures, but the kids enjoy looking at the individual ones better than the slideshows.

Matching

Knut and Nevan were accidentally matching the other day and Knut pointed it out to me.

I made it!

Look at me. I did it all on my own, well, Knut helped by knocking the pillow over for me.

Cutie Pie

Keileigh loves to play dress-up and to take pictures, especially when it means she gets all of Mommy's attention to herself. I'm trying to put together pictures of all of the projects I've made and this was the day for Keileigh's dresses. These are in chronological order from when I made them.

This dress which now fits as a shirt, has some fancy cam stitching around the hem, but she likes it because it's pink.

I was amazed that this one still fit Keileigh. This was her first birthday dress, my very first time sewing with velvet.She was just so happy to take pictures.

She found her pockets and was excited, especially since dolly got to match too.

She wouldn't try on this dress until she saw the matching purse.
There are a few dresses missing, but they were dirty at the time we took the pictures. So I'll be adding more when we take them.

Laundry Problems

No, don't worry, I didn't turn Nolan's white shirts pink or spread glitter through all the colors, this is a problem of a different sort. After taking pictures of Keileigh a couple of weeks ago in a basket, she has decided that that is where she should always take a picture. Knut wants to do things like Keileigh too and so they fought over the one laundry basket, until it came time to sort laundry and do it again. Nevan, being a new traveler, has to be in the middle of everything Mommy is doing and trying to help or figure it out himself. A laundry basket is just the right size for him to sit and watch and have a toy or two with just his space while I sort out the laundry. When I turned around to fill the baskets and start this is what I saw:
Knut and Keileigh were also avoiding bath time, by trying to play with Nevan.

Almost there

Now that I can crawl, I think I'll try out this climbing thing.

But I messy!

The beach is a regular destination for us here as it is so close and we can go on days when it isn't too crowded. And the kids know how to ask for it and what to bring with them to play with when we get there.
